The Duke of Edinburgh

Writer's picture: St. Andrew's BeneficeSt. Andrew's Benefice

All of us at St Andrew's, St Lawrence's, and St Michael's were saddened to learn of the death of Prince Philip. Throughout his life he has given to us an example of Christian duty; not least in his support to Her Majesty The Queen, but to the countless charities, organisations, and individuals he supported and encouraged.

There will be a Special Service of Commemoration on Wednesday 14th April at 7.00pm at St Andrew's.

The Eucharist at 10.15am on Thursday 15th April will be a requiem.

There is the opportunity to light a candle in St Andrew's in memory of Prince Philip. The church is open 9am-4pm daily.

We continue to hold The Queen, and the Royal Family in our prayers.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory. Amen.
